Since the UCLA basketball team parted ways with Steve Alford back on New Year’s Eve, Bruins fans have been making their wishlists as to who they would like to see take over as the head coach of the most storied program in the country.
Last month, reports emerged that Virginia’s Tony Bennet was at the top of the list, a list that included a who’s who of qualified, successful and proven coaches. The fact that a name like Bennet, among many others, is being considered shows that the UCLA Athletic Department wants to cast a wide net and not bumble the process as they did when they brought in Alford.
