UCLA Baseball: Bruins Throttle Ducks, 15-1, Earn Series Win

The UCLA Bruin baseball team (34-17, 17-9 PAC 12) took game two and earned the series win over Oregon (25-26, 11-15 PAC 12) yesterday afternoon in a dominant performance at home, crushing the Ducks by the score of 15-1. The Bruins seek the series sweep today at 12 noon.

UCLA has bounced back nicely this week after losing six out of seven previous games. In beating Cal State Northridge on Tuesday night, and taking the first two games against the Ducks, the Bruins have outscored their opponents 42-7 in those three games.

Oregon was outclassed on the mound and at the plate yesterday afternoon, with the Bruins jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning on Jeremy Ydens’ solo home run to left field.
