IRVINE — Three people have been arrested in connection with a series of bicycle thefts this week at UC Irvine, according to police.
Around 8:50 a.m. Monday, April 10, officers responded to the Middle Earth student housing complex, where they found Christopher William Payne riding a stolen bicycle, UC Irvine police said in a statement.
Payne was arrested on suspicion of petty theft, possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics, and for outstanding misdemeanor warrants, police said. He was transported to the Orange County Jail and his bail is set at $18,000.
