The United States Women’s National Team is once again the best team on the planet as they have won the 2019 World Cup. It is the fourth time the US has captured the championship and did so with the help of four former Bruins.
Head coach Jill Ellis (former UCLA soccer coach), Mallory Pugh, Samantha Mewis and Abby Dahlkemper (former UCLA soccer players) were all a part of the USWNT that just won their second consecutive World Cup in front of a packed house at Groupama Stadium in Decines-Charpeau, France.
The United States was nothing less than dominant in this year’s event.
