I kinda mentioned this in the Roundtable from last week, but I spent this past weekend in Chicago at a wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony, the reception was very elegant, and I spent the entire evening pretending UCLA football didn’t exist.
Ok so I definitely snuck a few looks at the score in-between courses, and a healthy contingent of LA-based folks did crowd around a phone to watch the end of the 4th quarter, but by and large, I did not watch this game live. And it was nice! I got to enjoy myself, and it was a pleasant surprise that the Bruins not only covered the 21-point spread, but kept things close to the final whistle.
