Sunday Morning Quarterback, Friday Edition: UCLA Football Gets Stanford Monkey Off the Bruins’ Backs

Last night, the UCLA Bruins got the Stanford monkey off their backs. After 11 consecutive losses to the Stanford Cardinal, UCLA finally managed to put together a whole game for the first time this season.

The offense fired on all cylinders as Joshua Kelley managed to run for 172 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries while Dorian Thompson-Robinson was 21 of 34 passing for 192 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 66 yards on 13 carries.

More importantly, the defense showed signs of life by holding third-string quarterback Jack West to just 143 yards with no TDS.
