Penalties continue to plague Bruins

SAN BERNARDINO – As UCLA players warmed up for Wednesday morning’s practice at Cal State San Bernardino, Bruins offensive coordinator Kennedy Polamalu encouraged his players to “unleash their Beast Mode.”

Perhaps some players took it a bit too far.

Defensive end Takkarist McKinley and offensive tackle Kolton Miller both got ejected for fighting late in the morning’s practice when they got tangled up during a simulated two-minute drill. McKinley threw a punch in the altercation and both players immediately left the field. It happened when the offense faced a fourth-and-16 and McKinley’s punch moved the chains for an automatic first down.
