No. 2 UCLA holds steady in AP men's basketball poll

The UCLA men’s basketball team held steady at No. 2 in the Associated Press poll released Monday.

It is the third consecutive week the Bruins have been the second-ranked team in the country behind No. 1 Villanova.

UCLA (12-0) received three first-place votes, Villanova received 56 and No. 4 Baylor received six.

The Bruins bolstered their standing with Saturday’s 86-73 victory over Ohio State at the CBS Sports Classic in Las Vegas. They are off to their best start since the 2006-07 team went 14-0 to begin a season it finished in the second of three consecutive Final Fours.
