, who led the Warriors to the playoffs in four of his five seasons, has resigned and accepted the coaching position at Newberg High in Oregon.
“My wife and I are extremely excited to raise our daughters in the beautiful Northwest,” Hastin said in a text message.
“Over the past 13 years, I have had an amazing experience at Troy. … Troy has a special group of young men who are ready to do great things next season.”
Hastin served as Troy’s defensive coordinator before taking over the program in 2012. He guided the Warriors to a 33-21 record in five seasons.
