Josh Rosen takes blame for UCLA's lackluster loss to Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Moments after UCLA’s comeback bid against Texas A&M fell short, quarterback Josh Rosen addressed his teammates in the locker room and owned the loss.

It wasn’t all on Rosen, of course, but his performance fell woefully short of the standard he’s set and, more importantly, expects of himself. There were errant throws, poor reads and enough missed chances to make for one of the most frustrating games of his young career.

He had some moments where he flashed his top-of-the-first-round potential, too, but they didn’t come soon enough or frequently enough for UCLA to escape SEC country with a win, dropping the season opener in overtime, 31-24.
