PASADENA – At long last, Theo Howard is free.
Fans clamored on social media for weeks to see the dynamic four-star freshman receiver and they finally got their wish Saturday in UCLA’s 45-24 win over Arizona.
Howard didn’t disappoint.
On a 6-yard sit route in the beginning of the third quarter, the young receiver got open, caught a pass from quarterback Josh Rosen and turned up field. He put a move on two Arizona defenders that left one Wildcat on the ground, and strolled into the end zone for a 19-yard touchdown. It was his first touchdown and jump-started UCLA to 31 second-half points.
