Late Friday night, ABC7 in Los Angeles had reported that a “UCLA basketball player barricaded himself inside a Sherman Oaks residence”. This was after the suspect had apparently shot at police. The suspect is believed to be former Bruin Tyler Honeycutt.

The incident began on Friday at around 5 p.m. PT at a Sherman Oaks home when Honeycutt’s mother had called the police due to her son acting “erratically”. When police arrived at the scene, Honeycutt had apparently opened fire on them.
