Evidence Njoku granted transfer waiver

The tight end unit for the UCLA Bruins in 2020 got a big boost when the NCAA granted a transfer waiver for immediate eligibility for TE Evidence Njoku.

Per his Instagram story, the NCAA granted Njoku’s waiver to play this season and he’ll have two seasons of eligibility left, not counting the 2020 season that was granted free of a year of eligibility for all student-athletes.

Njoku transferred from Miami (Fl.) after appearing in seven games with the Hurricanes in 2018, catching just one pass for 11 yards against Pittsburgh.

He logged snaps in one contest a season ago, against Bethune-Cookman, but with likely NFL draft picks Brevin Jordan and Will Mallory ahead of him on the depth chart, Njoku opted to transfer to UCLA.
