Cylance cuts jobs

Related Topics: Layoff

Irvine-based Cylance is laying off a handful of employees, the company confirmed to the Register. The cybersecurity firm would not disclose how many employees were being let go.

“These changes are a normal part of balancing business needs and company capabilities that carry out each year,” the company said in a statement.

Cylance employs between 500 and 650 people companywide.

The job cuts are small enough the company did not have to file worker adjustments notices with the state’s Employment Development Department.

Last June Cylance raised $100 million in a Series D funding round led by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and Insight Venture Partners.
