Cubbies Draft UCLA Closer David Berg In 6th Round

UCLA closer David Berg was drafted by the Chicago Cubs today in the 6th round of the MLB Draft.

Berg owns the NCAA single-season record for saves with 24 in 2013 and the UCLA and Pac-12 record for career appearances with 175.

This season, he posted a miniscule 0.68 earned run average over 66-2/3 innings pitched while striking out 65 and walking only 8.
