PASADENA – Stanford delivered yet another emotional gut-punch to UCLA in the form of a 22-13 win at the Rose Bowl on Saturday. The Bruins landed their fair share of blows as Stanford coach David Shaw said they “kicked our backsides,” but the Cardinal knocked out UCLA for the ninth straight bout.
Now the Bruins must get off the mat to have a shot for the next one.
“This game, technically, for our place in the Pac-12 standings, doesn’t mean much, but personally, in our hearts and souls, it means a lot,” quarterback Josh Rosen said.
