LOS ANGELES – Arizona State running back Kalen Ballage sealed Arizona State’s upset victory over UCLA last year at the Rose Bowl by backpedaling into the end zone with 45 seconds remaining, dragging two Bruins defenders with him. Three offensive linemen helped push the running back across the line while UCLA linebacker Kenny Young and safety Tahaan Goodman were sandwiched in the pile, going along for the 23-yard ride into their own end zone.
The moment typified a game in which ASU coach Todd Graham said his team “dominated” a UCLA squad that was previously undefeated and ranked seventh in the nation.
