Bruins are going big at cornerback with Rios, Moreau

/ STAFF WRITER

The quietest, yet perhaps the most intriguing offseason personnel move at UCLA occurred in its secondary.

Although the Bruins returned both of their starting cornerbacks, Fabian Moreau and Ishmael Adams, they will trot out a new look when the season opens at the Rose Bowl on Saturday against Virginia.

Sliding into the starting lineup is Marcus Rios, supplanting the seasoned Adams, who started 26 games during the past two seasons.

The chief reason was clear before Adams ran into off-field trouble.

Size. Rios stands 6 feet tall. Adams is 5-8.
