It’s officially over now — Austin Burton is a member of the Purdue Boilermakers.
His lone game started for UCLA came in a loss to the Oregon State Beavers but he did play significant time against Arizona, USC and Cal this past season. In total, he completed 43-of-63 attempts for 365 yards and a touchdown.
His transfer leaves UCLA with just Dorian Thompson-Robinson as players who have attempted a single pass in their college careers. The rest of the depth behind DTR is inexperienced, especially considering they lost their chance at a spring practice this season during the coronavirus pandemic.
