The UCLA Bruins continued their hot streak with their ninth commitment overall and seventh commitment in the past month when 3-star WR Isaiah Newcombe pledged to the Bruins and Jimmie Dougherty.
Newcombe is a 6’1, 185-pound receiver from Casteel High School in Queen Creek, Arizona. He’s ranked as the 10th-best player in the state of Arizona by 247Sports and had 15 scholarship offers.
Newcombe committed to the Bruins over schools such as Boise State, BYU, Utah, Washington and a handful of other FBS-level teams. He projects as a surefire Power-5 Starter according to Blair Angulo of 247, stating he compares to former USC WR Deontay Burnett, now with the Tennessee Titans.
