It was an interesting second day of the NCAA Tournament. Not only did the Liberty Flames defeat Ben Howland’s Mississippi State Bulldogs, 80-76, the Iowa Hawkeyes upset the Cincinnati Bearcats, 79-72. Meanwhile, two of the three Pac-12 schools in the Tournament advanced when Washington beat Utah State, 78-61, and Oregon cruised past Wisconsin, 72-54. Arizona State was the Pac-12 team which lost yesterday when the Buffalo Bisons crushed the Sun Devils, 91-74.
Today, the Second Round of March Madness begins when the LSU Tigers take on the Maryland Terrapins at 9:10 am PT on CBS. This afternoon, the Michigan Wolverines will face the Florida Gators and the Gonzage Bulldogs will play the Baylor Bears.
