UCF safety Tre Neal, who started all 13 games at safety for UCF during the Knights undefeated season in 2017, is leaving UCF as a grad transfer to Nebraska.
Reached by text message, Neal replied, “It’s a tough decision but my time at UCF is over. I love UCF. It is in good hands right now and is a top program in the country and needs to be treated as such.”
Neal, a 6-foot-1, 200-pounder, will be eligible immediately as per NCAA graduate transfer rules.
Last season at UCF, Neal had 68 tackles, three interceptions and a fumble recovery.
