UCF’s Cole Schneider is the latest Knights football player to earn preseason praise after the redshirt senior guard was among 80 players named to the Outland Trophy watch list Tuesday.
The Outland Trophy, which is presented to the top interior lineman in college football, is voted on by the Football Writers Association of America. The winner will be announced during the Home Depot College Football Awards in December.
Quarterback Dillon Gabriel (Maxwell Award, Davey O’Brien Award) and receiver Jaylon Robinson (Biletnikoff Award) also earned spots on several preseason award watch lists.
