The timing couldn't be more perfect for winless UCF. An experienced running back is returning to the field as the team prepares for its first American Athletic Conference game Saturday.
But the circumstances certainly aren't the best for Dontravious Wilson, who is expected to compete for the first time in three weeks since suffering a PCL tear during UCF's 15-14 season opening loss to FIU Sept. 3.
Just four weeks ago, the Knights (0-4) were a different team before injuries torpedoed an already challenging 2015 season campaign featuring a slew of new faces. Since Wilson's injury, three additional starters were subtracted from the offensive lineup due to injuries, one starter — Will Stanback — was dismissed from the team and several freshmen were left with the task of figuring out how to push forward.
