It's a new year, but the UCF basketball team faces a familiar need to push past an unforeseen road block as the Knights prepare to play their American Athletic Conference home opener against rival USF.
Last year, the young Knights were gassed in the final minutes as they competed with a limited bench due to some earlier NCAA scholarship sanctions. This season, the team is learning how to finish in the final minutes without last season's starting point guard, B.J. Taylor.
UCF announced a few days before Christmas Taylor, a sophomore, would miss the 2015-16 season due to a foot injury.
