UCF could be adding another defensive lineman to its roster after former Western Kentucky redshirt freshman Ricky Barber Jr. announced Wednesday he‘s transferring to play for the Knights.
Barber, who entered the transfer portal last week, is coming off a season in which he recorded 51 tackles with six tackles for loss and four sacks.
“I want to thank my coaches, teammates, and the staff at Western Kentucky for believing in me,” Barber wrote on Twitter. “The memories made there will never be forgotten. With that being said, I am excited to announce my commitment to the University of Central Florida to further my academic and athletic career.
