UCF receivers coach Darrell Wyatt reportedly leaves program

UCF coach Josh Heupel is searching for another assistant coach after reports surfaced Monday wide receivers coach Darrell Wyatt left the program.

He is the second coach to leave UCF since the 2020 season ended. Running backs coach Anthony Tucker left to become the offensive coordinator at Utah State.

During Wyatt’s three seasons leading the receivers unit, UCF produced back-to-back 1,000-yard receivers in Gabe Davis (2019) and Marlon Williams (2020). Davis became the first UCF wideout selected in the NFL draft since Tre’Quan Smith in 2017.

The 32-year-old Burns spent the past four seasons with the Tigers as wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator.
