UCF receiver Taylor Oldham learning how to embrace leadership role

Even a "veteran" player like Taylor Oldham admitted to experiencing a few nerves at the start of UCF's game against UConn.

The junior receiver hadn't taken a hit since April when he suffered a broken bone in his right foot during the spring game and Saturday marked his first game since 2014.

"All I was thinking was like flashbacks to the spring game, like, 'Please don't break.' So I was a little nervous," Oldham said of making his first catch, a 13-yard pass from Justin Holman.

He was targeted just three times, but he made good on all three receptions for 22 yards.
