UCF receiver Gabe Davis ‘ready to work’ after he was drafted by Bills

“I’m awfully excited to be a part of the family,” Davis said in a video posted to his Twitter account following the pick. “I’m ready to get to work. I’m ready to have a great season and a great year. I’m glad you took the opportunity to take me. I won’t let you guys down.”

The Sanford Seminole High alum declared early for the draft after setting the school’s single-season receiving mark with 1,241 yards. He skipped the team’s bowl game against Marshall in December to prepare for the NFL Scouting Combine.

His 23 career touchdowns rank second in school history and his eight games of 100-plus receiving yards tie him for ninth in school history.
