UCF quarterback Justin Holman battles adversity, still tries to help Knights

It wasn't that long ago when Justin Holman was the baby-faced freshman quarterback gaining a few valuable reps behind Jacksonville Jaguars bound Blake Bortles in 2013.

He hit a few bumps along the way last season but emerged as one of UCF's most valuable offensive weapons, with his most notable performance coming against East Carolina. He connected with former receiver Breshad Perriman for a 51-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass against the Pirates to help clinch the Knights' second consecutive American Athletic Conference championship.

But even with all the turbulence Holman has endured — a broken finger being the latest — he has sympathy for UCF's young quarterbacks, Bo Schneider and Tyler Harris.
