Boerboom, a 3-star prospect out of Chesapeake, Virginia, was part of the Knights’ 2021 recruiting class. He was one of two tight ends signed in the class along with Charlie Browder.
“First, I would like to thank God for giving me the ability to play the game I love,” Boerboom posted on Twitter Friday evening. “Also I want to thank the coaches at UCF. With that being said, I have entered my name in the NCAA transfer portal with all my years of eligibility left.”
Tight end Tony Forrest Jr. and quarterback Gaston Moore also announced they were entering the portal to continue their careers elsewhere.
