Despite trailing 31-7 early in the second quarter against Michigan, UCF's players looked excited. The team had just scored off of an 87-yard run and now, linebacker Demeitre Brim had brought down Michigan receiver Eddie McDoom with a big hit.
The excitement didn't last.
In a controversial call, Brim's hit was ruled as targeting and he was ejected from the game.
"I was surprised because I thought I would, you know, be clear for the call because after looking at it on the screen, I thought that maybe I didn't hit him .
