UCF holds its breath over injury to QB Dillon Gabriel’s throwing arm after loss to Louisville

Dillon Gabriel’s left arm is in a sling, and the status of UCF’s junior starting quarterback is in question going forward.

Gabriel injured his throwing on a final, desperation play of Friday’s 42-35 loss at Louisville.

Coach Gus Malzahn was not able to provide an update on Gabriel during the post-game press conference with reporters.

The Knights are entering a bye week. True freshman Mikey Keene, who is Gabriel’s backup, made his debut in a 63-14 vs. Bethune-Cookman last week.
