The trademark music was missing from the UCF football team's practice Friday, but it was replaced by thunderous cheers from offensive players who, by head coach Scott Frost's account, won the day.
"Today we did what we had to do. Today was so exciting," UCF running back C.J. Jones said with a smile. "We were getting hype every time we scored a touchdown. We scored a lot of touchdowns and that looked and it felt so good."
The UCF offense had its first breakout performance after being dominated by defense during the first five practices.
