Cedric Thompson is logging quite the travel mileage during his UCF football career.
Last year, he made his first trip to Europe as the Knights played Penn State in Dublin. This season, he is making his first cross-country trip to California as UCF prepares to compete against Stanford for the first time in school history Saturday.
But unlike last year's cultural excursion, this weekend's trip is all business.
"It's exciting going to new places and things like that, but with a mature team you have to understand why you go places," Thompson said. "You're not going to sight-see or be a tourist, you're going to win a game.
