As he gets set to embark on his first season at UCF, coach Gus Malzahn understands the importance of setting up a good recruiting foundation for himself and his staff.
It’s been a point of emphasis when Malzahn took over as the Knights coach on Feb. 15 and it continues to be crucial especially with the end of the recruiting dead period on June 1.
“We’ve planned probably for the last three weeks getting prepared,” Malzahn said during a ChargeOn Tour stop in Oviedo last week. “It’s going to be the most important 26 days probably in the last two years from a recruiting standpoint.
