A.J. Davis' heartbreak was almost palpable following his millisecond late put-back that sealed UCF's 62-60 loss to Temple.
He pulled his jersey over his head to shield the pain in his face as he walked off the court with his teammates, equally devastated by defeat.
Just moments after Knights players leaped to celebration after an official ruled Davis' shot good, the call was overturned.
"When it comes down to the last shot, you're playing so hard and then you just fall short, it all hurts and leaves a bitter taste in your mouth," senior guard Daiquan Walker said.
