As is usually the case with rivalry games, team records were meaningless during the UCF basketball team's 75-64 home victory against USF Wednesday night.
Matt Williams and Adonys Henriquez tried to bury the struggling Bulls early from the long-range, combining eight of the Knights' season-high nine 3-pointers, but USF (3-13 overall, 0-3 AAC) kept finding openings until UCF (8-5 overall, 2-0 AAC) finally closed the door from the free-throw line in the final two minutes.
The Knights made five of six free-throw attempts in the final two minutes and converted 20 of 25 attempts before an announced crowd of 3,603 fans at CFE Arena.
