The Knights won two of the three games in the series, marking the third and fourth times in school history UCF has knocked off the top team in the country.
Dating back to 2018, UCF is 4-1 against the No. 1 ranked team in the country. On Friday, UCF starting pitcher Colton Gordon allowed one run in seven innings of work and led the Knights to a 3-2 win at Swayze Field.
UCF dropped the first game of a doubleheader 6-5 Saturday, but the Knights bounced back for a 7-2 win over the Rebels Saturday night to clinch the series victory.
