UCF coach Gus Malzahn has added a big piece to the Knights’ football roster, landing Auburn transfer Mark-Anthony Richards.
Richards, a former four-star running back from West Palm Beach Wellington High, is reuniting with Malzahn after spending two seasons in the Tigers’ backfield.
Richards signed with Auburn as the No. 90 overall prospect and the No. 4 athlete in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He redshirted his freshman season in 2019 after suffering a preseason knee injury.
Last season, he rushed for 76 yards on 20 carries in three games while sharing time in a crowded backfield with Tank Bigsby, Shaun Shivers and D.
