The words "Peach Bowl" and "Florida State" are terms everyone outside of the team uses to quantify Houston's wildly successful 2015 football season.
Inside the Cougars' facilities, second-year head coach Tom Herman banned those words. In fact, players weren't allowed to wear any of of their championship gear from the program's bowl game victory at any team-sanctioned gatherings.
"We do not refer to last season as 'we.' That's not 'we.' That's that 2015 season," Herman said. "We is this current team and the way that it's constructed, quite frankly, we haven't done anything yet."
Apparently, everyone else didn't get the memo.
