With former first-round defensive backs Harrison Smith and Trae Waynes already declared out for the Minnesota Vikings’ matchup with the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings got a bit of good news on the injury front.
Defensive end Everson Griffen, listed as questionable on Friday with hip and shoulder injuries, will play and start Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
Griffen didn’t practice on Wednesday and Thursday and was limited in Friday’s practice. That was the same designations for Smith as he worked through a knee injury, and Smith, too, was listed as questionable on Friday, along with Waynes, before the defensive backs were declared out on Saturday.
