At least local politician Robert “Bobby “Olszewski” stepped up to the plate and went down swinging in his campaign for UCF and USF to get into the Big 12.
Unfortunately, Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby essentially told Olszewski thanks but no thanks.
Olszewski, a state representative whose district represents parts of Southwest Orange County, sent a letter earlier this month to Bowlsby. In the letter, Olszewski described himself as "a proud alumnus of both UCF and USF" and then stumped for both schools to be added to the Big 12.
