UAB Baseball welcomed the Marshall University Thundering Herd to Young Memorial Field on Friday, April 7. The Blazers came out on the winning side of a close game, defeating the Thundering Herd 4-3. This win not only broke the losing streak, but brought the Blazers’ overall record to 16-14 and their Conference USA record to 5-5. After Friday’s victory, Head Coach Brian Shoop is two wins closer to earning his 1000-win record at UAB. The Blazers return to Young Memorial Field at 2 p.m. this afternoon and continue to face off against the Thundering Herd.
