UAB Softball dropped a hard fought 13 inning game to in-state rival Jacksonville State University on Tuesday, April 4. The Gamecocks defeated the Blazers 6-5 at Mary Bowers Field, UAB’s home field. Freshman pitcher Claire Blount went 11 innings, striking out seven batters along the way. The Blazers return home for a weekend series with La Tech starting Saturday at 1 p.m.
