CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Chris Cokley had a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds, with William Lee and Deion Lavender each adding 11 points as UAB downed Charlotte 76-64 on Thursday night.
Lewis Sullivan scored 10 for the Blazers (15-8, 6-4 Conference USA) as they pulled away in the second half against the 49ers (5-15, 1-7). The win was UAB's fifth straight against the 49ers.
It started well for Charlotte, who made their first four attempts in a two-minute span to start the game. Midway through the period, the Blazers answered with an 11-0 run to take an eight- point lead.
