On Tuesday, March 28, UAB Baseball welcomed the Samford University Bulldogs to Regions Field.
During the pregame, sophomore center fielder Brewer Hicklen was awarded with Conference USA’s Co-Hitter of the Week.
“I’m proud of Brewer,” UAB Baseball Head Coach Brian Shoop said. “Brewer’s a really good player, a better person and a pretty neat story at UAB since he’ll be on our first football team next fall. It’s just pretty cool.”
The Blazers kicked off to an early lead in the third inning when Hicklen hit a single to drive in sophomore left fielder Jared Nixon for a run.
