Tulsa women's basketball player Wyvette Mayberry was named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced today by the league office.
Mayberry helped Tulsa post two wins last week, including a 62-57 win over Cincinnati on the road and a 72-68 win over Memphis at home. She posted a team-best 20 points against the Bearcats and recorded 15 points against the Tigers for a 17.5 points per game average on the week. Mayberry averaged 36.7 minutes per game, while shooting 39-percent from the field and 35-percent from three-point range. She also tallied 10 assists, eight steals, eight rebounds and 1 block last week.
