Junior pitcher Emily Watson was named the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the eighth time this season after helping Tulsa claim the outright regular season league title with a sweep of East Carolina on the road over the weekend.
Watson (Edmond, Okla.) tossed her first career no-hitter and the first for Tulsa since Aimee Creger held Middle Tennessee without in a five-inning win on April 26, 2014. The right-hander struck out seven batters in the 12-0 game one win in five, facing just one batter over the minimum as she picked up her 20th shutout of her career and 11th of the season.
