TULSA, Okla. –– WATCH HERE as The University of Tulsa introduces Angie Nelp as its new women's basketball coach at an 11:30 a.m. (CT) Tuesday press conference at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Nelp, a native of Eufaula, Okla., becomes the 11th head coach in Tulsa women's basketball history. As a high school student-athlete, the former Angie Gorton was named the Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year at Canadian High School in 1998. She played her collegiate career at Colorado State and has spent the past 13 seasons coaching college basketball
She comes to Tulsa from Arizona State, where she has spent the past four seasons.
